Dalibor Karvay

Dalibor Kar­vay was born in Slov­akia in 1985. He won sev­er­al prizes, among which the 1st Prize at the Euro­vi­sion Grand Prix for Young Musi­cians in Ber­lin 2002, the 1st Prize of the Inter­na­tion­al Tibor Varga Com­pet­i­tion in Switzer­land 2003 and the 1st Prize of the Dav­id Ois­trakh Com­pet­i­tion in Moscow 2008.

As a soloist he has played with renowned orches­tras in import­ant con­cert halls like the Musik­ver­ein in Vienna and all over Europe, South Amer­ica, North Africa and Asia. In addi­tion to vari­ous clas­sic­al con­certs, he also played at a con­cert in the Vat­ic­an in hon­or of Pope John Paul II in 1995 and also a bene­fit con­cert for the United Nations.
