Lidia Baich

After national and international first prizes in her youth, Lidia Baich won in 1998 the Grand Prix d‘Eurovision with an outstanding performance of the 5th concerto by Vieuxtemps. Lord Yehudi Menuhin, head of the international Jury, presented her with the title of “European Musician of the Year”. Since then, she started a brilliant solo career that lead her to play all over the world with such orchestras as the New York Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wiener Symphoniker under conductors like Lorin Maazel, Yakov Kreizberg, Vladimir Fedoseyev or Jukka-Pekka Saraste.
Lidia also performs in the crossover scene with bands such as Deep Purple.

In 2008 Lidia released her debut album with Deutsche Grammophon, recording Mendelssohn’s and Prokofieff’s Violin Concertos.
